Sarah Sparkes

Sarah qualified in 2004 and has specialised within neurorehabilitation from early on in her career.

She implements high quality care and evidence-based treatment. She leads the physiotherapy team at a charity running exercise and peer support groups, driven by her desire to make neurological rehabilitation more accessible. She is highly motivated and thrives on the success of individuals achieving their goals. Sarah believes in a holistic approach to rehabilitation to empower and educate clients and their families.

Her areas of specialist interest include stroke rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury, spinal injuries, progressive neurological conditions, neuro oncology, and rehabilitation post neurosurgical interventions. She is trained in the use of functional electrical stimulation (FES) and has specialist knowledge in the management of spasticity. Sarah has completed extensive postgraduate training including PD Warrior, Motor re learning, Neuro fit and Advanced and Basic Bobath training. Sarah has completed a Masters in Neurological Rehabilitation at Cardiff University and is a committee member of London ACPIN.
